OMI

Short dance - circus film
2020

OMI is an ode to water on a thin surface of a tight wire.

Inspired by mythologies of water deities, the short film OMI is a blend of dance and circus, combining elements of both afro-Cuban and Finnish folklore.

Exploring the similarities of these opposite cultures and balancing within duality, OMI pays homage to the water deity Yemaya and the serene Finnish landscape of lakes and forests.
